ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Tiddas in Business program is delivered by Murawin and the Tiddas in Business Ltd, with support from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Office for Women.
The program is uniquely designed to support Indigenous women and girls to step into business. The central ethos behind the program is that by supporting an Indigenous woman with her business, it provides her with the opportunity to generate wealth and economically empowers herself, her children, her family, and her community.

The artwork depicts female empowerment, standing together and lifting each other up for the benefit of all in the family, community & wider world.
TIDDAS BUSINESSES
Murawin and our team of facilitators has supported the tiddas through the program, mentoring and guiding them through starting and/or developing their own businesses and creating a network of like-minded Indigenous businesswomen.

OUR FACILITATORS
The Tiddas in Business Program was delivered by Indigenous Businesswomen who not only are experts in their fields but who share lived experiences and understandings of participants situations, allowing for culturally safe mentoring to take place.
Carol Vale
Dunghutti entrepreneur, businesswoman, empathetic and visionary leader, CEO and co-founder of Murawin. Carol’s passion, determination and commitment have driven her impressive 40-year career as a specialist in intercultural consultation, facilitation, and participatory engagement.
Kat Henaway
Kat is an entrepreneur specialising in Indigenous Business Consulting and Business Advisory. She is the Director of Blax Capital and holds leadership roles with Women & Leadership Australia and the First Nations Gender Justice Institute.
Leesa Watego
As the Managing Director of Iscariot Media, an agency that focuses on creative Indigenous solutions for small businesses. Leesa works consistently to empower Indigenous communities by developing opportunities within the Indigenous business sector.
Michelle Deshong
As a business owner for over 15 years, Michelle has extensive experience in areas of leadership, governance and politics. She is a Board Member at Queensland First Nations Treaty Institute & Supply Nation, with seven months as Supply Nation’s interim CEO in 2023.
Sarah Hyland
Anaiwan woman and Founder of Together Business, a First Nations-led Accounting and Business Advisory firm, committed to a more just, and sustainable world by empowering Indigenous entrepreneurs and setting Indigenous-led businesses up for financial success.

OUR FUTURE
As our pilot Tiddas in Business program comes to a close we will be continuing our work and the network we have kickstarted through Tiddas in Business Ltd.

The resilience and determination of the tiddas through the program has been nothing short of inspiring; they have started and continued their businesses through thick and thin and continue to be guiding lights for themselves, their families, and their communities.
We will continue to empower Indigenous women and girls to follow their dreams. And we will continue to pass on skills, knowledge and experience to them so they can be the change they want to see.
